Patrick Dwyer
Trainer

Patrick Dwyer is an accomplished horseman and has been a personal friend of Kevin’s for many years. Pat joined Kevin in Pennsylvania several years ago when the business grew to the point that it necessitated a second full time rider and trainer. At that time Pat was running Patrick Dwyer Show Stables in Walnut Creek, California. Kevin and Pat bought and sold horses together for years before Pat finally joined him on the East coast. Pat provides exceptional instruction and coaching to our riders from the children's jumper level through grand prix. He is also Kevin’s groundsman at home and at shows. He provides the most difficult service here by taking over Kevin’s amateur and grand prix students in his absence, whether it is for coaching at shows or just keeping their training program going at home. Like Kevin, Pat’s riding and teaching foundation comes from Iris Kellet’s classical training program in Ireland. In the early 1990’s, Pat served as Iris Kellet’s second rider under International rider John Hall and he was the assistant instructor for Ms. Kellet for many years. The similar foundation Kevin and Pat share make them a terrific complement to each other in the training program here.

Pat has an extensive resume which includes managing the sale horse program for English team rider William Funnel, competing as a rider at International venues including Dublin, Hickstead, Mill Street, and St. Gallen, and producing, selecting, campaigning and selling horses such as “Inishmore” that have gone on to become successful grand prix competitors. His championship titles in Europe on grand prix ponies and young horses are too numerous to list.  Pat has worked with many top professionals and served as the sole rider for Henry Schulumberg Stables in Zurich, Switzerland, a well respected dealer of International caliber show jumpers. Upon coming to the U.S. he worked as the assistant trainer to Damian Gardiner. We are fortunate to have the depth of training and horsemanship Pat Dwyer provides as our second trainer.

Angela Okrent
Show Manager

Since 2004, Angela has been a member of the KB LLC team and has served many valuable and various roles over the years. Since graduating from Johnson & Wales University in 2009 with an AS in Equine Studies and BS in Equine Business Management/Riding, she has taken a permanent position as the show manager. Angela possesses 16 years of experience with horses. That experience serves her well in her primary responsibility which is to coordinate the horses, riders, their gear, their schedule and the staff at the numerous shows that we attend each year. This is no easy undertaking but she is efficient, detail oriented, and committed to her job. The result is a great show experience for our clients and their horses and Kevin always knowing where to find his hat!

Her passion for our equine athletes is evident by her huge contribution to the organization and well being of our horses while away from home.  Angela works alongside the staff and guides her co-workers to reach the highest level of professionalism. She over-looks no detail regarding the presentation of our horses while at the ring. She is a major contributor to the success of the horses, clients, and business alike. She is also largely responsible for the success and maintenance of this website.

Rosalind Burrows
Management Staff

Rosalind joined the Babington crew two years ago through a work placement program with The University of Limerick in Ireland, where she studied for her BSc in Equine Science.  Initially, she worked for Kevin for six months and then returned to Ireland to finish her degree. After graduation, Rosalind returned to the US on a second internship Visa to rejoin our team. She has been back since July ’09 and is helping in every way imaginable. "Roz" can be found carrying out routine daily tasks, helping the vet, and assisting with preparation for horse shows throughout the season. She is a pleasure to work with and she will be missed by all when she returns home.

Kevin has worked closely with the University of Limerick for years. Each year he invites one or two students to come and work with him for college credit and to gain experience. He has been instrumental in helping many of his former students find full time jobs after graduation.

Jennifer Cassidy
Home Manager

Jennifer Cassidy came to KB LLC with over 12 years of equine experience. She is an invaluable asset as she is responsible for the daily care and maintenance of the horses while they are at home. Her love and dedication to their well-being is matched by her work ethic. Under her management the barn runs effortlessly and efficiently.

She began her career at Shannondell Farm. There she assisted in everything from breaking and showing the young horses, running their horse shows, running the barn, and over-seeing and contributing to the lesson program. From there she pursued her degree in Equine Science from Delaware Valley College with a specialization in equine training. She also represented DVC for a semester at Hartpury College, the International School of Sport. Following college, she resumed a management role at Phoebe DeMott's Cedar Ridge Farm. Jenn was responsible for everything related to the health and well-being of the horses and over saw the daily running of the facility.

As a rider, Jenn has been successful in many diciplines. She has had success in local and national hunter, equitation, jumper, western, dressage, and sidesaddle competitions. She has worked with various trainers which include: Phoebe DeMott, Judy Stephens, Angelo Telatin, Audrey Bostwick, Karin Glassman, Jeremy Michaels, Peta Roberts, Lorinda Lende, Ann Alfano and Babsi Clark.

Loretta Hess
Office Manager

Loretta Came on board in 2005 under the tutelage of Iris Jewell.  As the business continued to grow it became clear a full time business manager was needed.  With over 15 years of experience in Corporate America, Loretta decided this was the perfect opportunity for a change.  Loretta has been a wonderful addition to the staff. She is responsible for all the office work associated with the business including accounts payable, accounts receivable, arranging on the road accommodation for staff and booking stalls for horse shows.  She also oversees the paperwork for the import/export of horses and makes sure Kevin's travel plans are organized and stress free.

Loretta is the glue that holds everything together for the Babingtons, the clients and the staff.
